Description: Due to increasing child numbers, we are looking for an experienced Early Years Practitioner/Key Person to join our small friendly team.
Experience of working within Early Years and Key Person duties is essential. We are looking for someone who is able to step into the role of Key Person right away. You must be able to plan engaging and educational activities for the children, be caring and positive, a good communicator, and be comfortable working with children of all abilities in all areas of the preschool. You must also be able to work well in a team, be proactive and use your initiative.
Thundridge Preschool opened in September 2022 and has grown in popularity since then. We are located just north of Ware, surrounded by farmland, opposite Hanbury Manor & Maltons restaurant. Children aged from 2y to 4y attend from the local villages, Ware, and Hertford. Our building was fully refurbished in the summer of 2023. We encourage professional development and support our staff with further training. We know that our staff are our most important resource, and staff wellbeing is a priority for us.
A full and relevant Level 3 qualification as defined by the Children’s Workforce Development Council, satisfactory relevant references, and satisfactory disclosure check are required.

We believe that our staff should enjoy coming to work, to a happy, supportive and stress-free environment. We aim to reduce unnecessary paperwork, spending time interacting with the children is the priority for staff. All staff have dedicated time to complete Learning Journals and planning for their Key Children. Staff get discounted sessions for their own children who attend the preschool. We try to be flexible and understand that it's not easy juggling work and family. Most importantly, we organise regular staff socials!
Ria manages they day to day running of the preschool. She is a qualified Early Years Practitioner and has experience of working with children from babies through to Key Stage 1.
She is our Designated Safeguarding Person, and is a qualified Paediatric First Aider.
Amy is an experienced Key Person & Early Years Educator. She is covering the Deputy Manager position for Maternity Leave.
Amy has many years experience in Early Years, and has supported many children with SEND. Amy also has experience supporting families at the Children's Centre.
Amy is a Trainee Key Person & Early Years Educator.
Leanne is a trainee Key Person and Early Years Educator.
Natasha is the Ofsted Registered Person & Senior Manager.
She is responsible for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and overseeing the teaching & learning at the preschool.
She is a qualified Primary School teacher. She has many years of experience working with children in Early Years as well as supporting children with SEND. She is qualified to support children with Mental Health concerns, and is a paediatric first aider.
